Can there really just be a top ten when it comes to Disney snacks? Who knows, but we’re going to try and narrow it down. I’m still bummed about having to cancel my trip this year. I bet a lot of people are! Thankfully, my husband has turned into an expert on making some of my favorite Disney treats. So, to bring a little magic back, lets talk about some favorite snacks at the parks.
Pickles are always a classic when you go to a Disney Park. They are my husband and daughter’s absolute favorite. Almost every land has a fresh fruit cart where you can purchase pickles. There’s one by Splash Mountain, another across from Big Thunder Mountain and even another by Space Mountain.
Who doesn’t love chomping down on a giant turkey leg while you’re walking through the parks?! My brother-in-law will refuse to leave the park before he has one! And yes, as big as they are, they are turkey legs, not emu. You can find these on Main Street, and in Adventure Land. You can also get some at Edelweiss Snacks and across from Award Wieners at DCA.
Mickey’s Ice Cream Bar
Anything Mickey shaped is automatically gonna taste extra good. Add that to some ice cream, and you have the perfect snack to walk around the park with. There are different ice cream parlors and carts all throughout the park where you can find this sweet treat. The Golden Horseshoe, Carnation Cafe, and even Clarabelle’s in Toontown has got you covered.
Another refreshing option, especially in the summer, is a Mint Julep. There’s actually not many places you can find this. You can find it tucked away in New Orleans Square at the Mint Julep Bar.
Seriously- I am in love with any food that is Mickey shaped! These snacks are so popular, that there are Pretzel Carts everywhere. You can find them at Pacific Wharf, by Star Tours, and near Big Thunder to name a few.
These are up there for one of my favorite snacks to buy at a Disney Park. You almost can’t even call it a snack. It’s so big and filling, it might as well be a meal. Pretty much anywhere you can buy a Turkey Leg, you can buy one of these Chimichangas.
Beignets are heavenly. I don’t know how many of these we eat while we’re at the parks. But luckily, we do so much walking that I don’t feel bad buying more! You can find these at the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square. They are also at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney.
I love walking around the parks and smelling the popcorn. You can get it in every single land and, of course, on Main Street. When you get up to the front, make sure to look at the Roastie Toasties. They are the little characters that are turning the popcorn. They are themed according to the land they are in.
Our families favorite tradition is to get one of these pineapple treats, and listen to some birds sing. You can get these at the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland. It’s right in front of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Dole Whips easily make our top ten list.
Pretty sure I saved the best for last. It just doesn’t feel like Disney if you’re not walking around at some point with one of these. There are Churro Carts literally everywhere! You can get some by the Haunted Mansion, or Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. There’s also Senor Buzz Churros on Pixar Pier, and Willie’s Churros on Buena Vista Street.
There you have it! The top ten classic snacks at Disneyland and California Adventure. Did we miss any? Let us know!
